Where Does It Come From? Flapbook

Follow the directions found in the file in order to create the book. Use this book to discuss prayer. Why do we pray for others? Who is your student praying for?

I Am Thankful
The girl in the book is thankful for so many things. Recall them together. Use the pages provided to help your student create her own list of things she is thankful for.

“Bless other children, far and near . . .”

Look at the illustration of children of the world. Discuss the children of the world and how we are alike and different.

Sing “Jesus Loves the Little Children of the World” together. Add the mini-book to your lapbook.

Letter A Cards and Pocket
At the end of the prayer, the little girl says, “Amen.”

Introduce or review the long A sound that the letter A makes. Long A words included in the mini-book: Amen, Angel, Acorn, Apron, and Ape. Your student can trace the letter A on these cards.
