Mirror, mirror on the wall,
what units are the most popular of all?
I took a peek at our stats last month, and found it interesting to see which units made the top ten list for 2011. Make sure you check these out (if you haven’t already!); you might want to use a few of these with your students in 2012.
10. Sign of the Beaver
Voted best book of the year by my son, this unit is sure to please any child interested in American Indians, animals, and adventure!
An endearing story, for sure, Stellaluna has been a popular unit study at Homeschool Share for many years.
8. Space Unit Study
There’s almost enough here to fill a galaxy, but you can pick and choose exactly what you need to meet your student’s needs.
7. The Grouchy Ladybug
Everyone loves an Eric Carle book and this one is no exception. Gather up all the little people at your house, and enjoy this learning adventure!
6. Chocolate Unit Study
Need a break from regular studies? This one is super sweet!
5. If You Give a Moose a Muffin
Preschoolers and Kindergarteners learn about the letter M, moose, cause & effect, and even do some muffin math!
4. The Mouse and the Motorcycle
A fun-to-read chapter book paired with educational activities. You can’t go wrong!
3. The Great Kapok Tree
This unit takes you on a rain forest adventure!
2. Mr. Popper’s Penguins
My favorite unit of all time (so far!). Don’t miss this one.
1. Dr. Seuss Unit Study
Lots of lesson and activity ideas as well as some fun printables. Choose enough for a day or grab it all and take a few weeks. Oh, the places you’ll go!
