Meet Marie, a mom of 2 special needs children at A Meaningful Day. In the spring of 2009, she and her children were studying Ocean animals followed with a whale study and finishing with a study of penguins. Here is just one of the projects they did with Ocean Animals. I love the pipe cleaner algae.
Along with their whale study, they did a whale pop-up book from Evan Moor.
During their study of penguins, they read Tacky the Penguin, learned more about Antarctica, and looked at food chains from printables they got from a winter Mailbox magazine.
This is a great example of how Marie’s family did only the penguins portion of the Polar Animals lapbook from Homeschool Share, rather than doing all of them.
