1.  There are four weathercocks in the town and eight in the country.  How many weathercocks in all?
2.  Twenty minutemen have muskets, ten have clubs, and ten have no weapon.  How many minutemen in all?

8.  Three men mount their trusty steeds to begin a dangerous mission.  Each man must change horses two times.  At the end of the mission, how many horses have been ridden?
