Little Nino's Pizzeria Story Problems

1. Cheese is sold in two pound packages. Tony wants to buy ten
pounds of cheese. How many packages does he need to buy?
2. Each barrel holds twenty-five pounds of flour. Nino bought one
hundred pounds. How many barrels will he be able to fill?
3. Each pepperoni stick makes twenty-five slices. Little Tony sliced
six pepperoni sticks. How many slices does he have?
4. Large pizzas have twelve slices. Small pizzas have six slices.
The customer ordered two large and one small. How many slices will there
be in all?
5. Jack and Joe ate lunch at Little Nino's Pizzeria. Jack's lunch
cost $6.55, and Joe's lunch cost $7.20. How much more did Joe spend than
Jack?
6. The first pizza Nancy ordered has pepperoni, sausage, and green pepper.
The second pizza Nancy ordered has green pepper, onion, mushroom, and bacon.
How many different toppings will there be total?
7. A medium pizza serves two adults. Nino gave two medium pizzas to
the homeless people in the alley. How many people will be fed?
8. Which is larger one-half of a pizza or three-fourths of a pizza?
9. The pizza toppings are: extra cheese, pepperoni, sausage, pineapple,
onions, olives, and mushrooms. How many different combinations can you
find?
