Summary: Set in the time of the French and Indian War, in New York state, in 1757, this heart warming tale told from the perspective of the American Colonists, features characters based on real people. The book tells the story of how the Van Alstynes, Teunis, his wife Gertrude and their children, ten year old Edward and six year old Trudy survive an Indian attack.  The book is fifty pages long, contains ten short chapters and a forward.


Note:  The original writer asked that all her work be taken off of Homeschool Share.  Two others have contributed to the study, however, and I will try to get those items posted in half-baked.  We still would like to see a unit for this book.
