For this project, we used a Bare Board Book.  I backed many of the pages with scrapbook paper that I had on hand. 
You can use a regular lapbook if you desire. 

Supplies Needed
white cardstock
white feathers
small sticks or twine (for bird's nest)
envelopes (two- one for puzzle cards, one for accordion book)
laminator, optional
magnets or velcro, optional (but fun!)
